PURPOSE:To prevent the blank of a thread from displacing its attitude while it is rolled so as to correctly roll the thread, by arranging a member, which holds a shank of the blank, in an intermediate position between a fixed die and a moving die. CONSTITUTION:A blank 1 is prevented from tilting while it is rolled, by means of providing a blank molding member 6 in an intermediate position between a fixed die 2 and a moving die 3. A shank part of the blank 1 is housed in a slot provided in the blank holding member 6. The blank holding member 6 is formed in a thickness smaller than a diameter of the shank part of the blank 1. The blank holding member 6, when the moving die 3 is moved running at an advance speed V, runs at a speed equal to the running speed of the blank 1, that is, at a speed of V/2. |
