Detergent compositions for washing fabrics contain dialkylsulphosuccinate whose alkyl groups have a total of 16 to 24 carbon atoms. Nonionic surfactant, preferably of HLB >10.5, and electrolyte are also included so that in use the wash liquor has electrolyte ionic strength of at least 0.04 moles/litre. |
