PURPOSE:To easily prepare a photoresponsive toner and to obtain a sharp image with good reproducibility by using the toner comprising inner core particles containing a photoconductive inorganic pigment and outer shell resin layers containing conductive whiskers. CONSTITUTION:The toner comprises the inner core particles containing the photoconductive inorganic pigment and the outer shell resin layers containing the conductive whiskers. The spherical particles having the pigment dispersed into them can be prepared comparatively easily, and the resin coating processes around particles have been established in many kinds. It is necessary to form a conductive chain between the toner and a substrate in order to execute development by light irradiation, and the use of the conductive whiskers can form this conductive chain, thus permitting the obtained toner to obtain stable performances by the simple process and to be superior in fixability, photosensitivity, and the tone of printed characters. |
