PURPOSE:To read a displayed telephone number and to send a dial automatically by reading a telephone number displayed on a display section, analyzing the telephone number with a display character analysis means and applying automatic dial by an automatic dial means. CONSTITUTION:An interrupt key (not shown) for display character read is depressed from a keyboard 4 and a cursor is moved to indicate a character to be read. In this state, when the operator depresses an automatic dial start key 41 on a keyboard 3, a display character read section 5 checks the cursor position of a display memory 2 by the control of the CPU 1 to read data for one line on which the cursor exists and sends the data to a read display character analysis section 6. The analysis section 6 checks the data before and after the cursor position and sends the data for the telephone number character string only to an automatic dialing section 7 to command the execution of automatic dialing. Thus, the dialing section 7 acquires the telephone line 9 to convert the telephone number into a dial signal to apply automatic dialing. After the end of dialing, the CPU 1 connects the telephone line 9 to the telephone set section 8 to make the talking state.
