<p>PURPOSE:To visually recognize the remaining amount of tape and the tape running state with a compact tape player by loading a tape cassette with its front side titled down and at the same providing a window to a cover unit. CONSTITUTION:A tape player 1 is provided with a window 17 which is covered with a cover unit 14 that opens and closes a cassette slot 13a through a transparent part and a mechanical deck 23 tilted down toward its front side. A tape cassette 2 is loaded to the deck 23. When the cassette 2 loaded to the deck 23, a single side face of the cassette 2 is turned to the upper oblique side at the inside of the window 17 of the body 14 and in the depth direction of the case 2. Thus the remaining amount of tape and the tape running state can be checked at the front of an outer housing. At the same time, the perpendicular height of the deck 23 is reduced for miniaturization of the player 1. Furthermore it is possible to keep the change of attitude of a cassette holder 33 at <=90 deg. center angle while the holder 33 moves between the ejecting and loading positions. In addition, the mechanism of the player 1 is simplified since the holder 33 and the body 14 are actuated only by a cam gear and a cam slider.</p> |
