The rigid transport container, partic. a standard freight container and for use with solid material, has flat sides, top and bottom. It includes air bags bearing against the inside surfaces. The sides (8,9), bottom (7) and top (6) are double-skinned, with distance-pieces (31-33) between the skins. Thus the inner skins are secured to the rigid outer ones (11,13,15,17) so as to be resilient in the transverse direction. USE/ADVANTAGE - Rigid transport container with damage to goods or distortion of container due to temp. fluctuations.
