PURPOSE:To allow the selective or simultaneous perpendicular cutting and oblique cutting of a material to be cut by spectrally splitting the laser beam emitted from a laser transmitter to a perpendicular cutting means and an oblique cutting means by a spectroscopic means and irradiating the material to be cut with these beams. CONSTITUTION:The cutter A is mounted on a traveling frame 82 imposed on rails 81. A traversing carriage 83 is provided on a traversing rail 82b and the laser beam emitted from a laser oscillator 86 traversing in a y-axis direction passes a passage 87 and is spectrally split to the perpendicular cutting means and the oblique cutting means by the spectroscopic means. The member B to be cut is irradiated with these laser, by which the perpendicular cutting and oblique cutting to the member B to be cut are executed. The perpendicular cutting is executed if the laser beam is so controlled by a control means 88 as to be guided only to the perpendicular cutting means from the spectroscopic means. The oblique cutting is executed if the laser beam is so controlled as to be guided only to the oblique cutting means from the spectroscopic means. The selective or simultaneous execution of the perpendicular cutting and the oblique cutting by controlling the spectroscopic means by the control means is possible in this way. |
