PURPOSE:To improve the positioning of a sound image by setting up the cut-off frequency of sound pressure/frequency characteristics and attenuation characteristics on a listening point based on a low pitched sound speaker and a middle pitched sound speaker within a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:The low pitched sound speaker 12 and the middle pitched/high pitched sound speaker 8 are arranged on respectively different positions in a room, the sound pressure/frequency characteristics of the speaker 12 on the listening point is set up less than 100Hz cut-off frequency and more than 6dB /OCT attentuation characteristics and that of the speaker 8 on the listening point is set up more than the 100Hz cut-off frequency so that synthesized sound pressure/frequency characteristics on the listening pint is made flat. Consequently, the low frequency range can be emphasized and a listener senses the low frequency rang from the speaker 8 without sensing the directivity of the speaker 12. Thus, the positioning sense of a sound image can be improved. |
