The invention relates to a device for fastening the fixing posts for a bricklayer's line, which is used as a guide when bricklaying, between ceiling and floor. The post 3 comprises an outer tube 6 and an inner tube 7 telescopically sliding and lockable therein. The invention is intended to improve the fastening of the post so that fastening can be performed quickly and securely. The improvement is achieved in that in the upper end of the post 3 there is a guide bushing 10, which has an essentially horizontal shaft 11, along which the bushing 12 can slide, the bushing 12 bearing against the ceiling so that when the bushing 12 is moved towards the guide bushing 10, the shaft 11 swings downwards along the post 3, a firm three-point fixing being formed when the bottom end of the post is pressed against the floor and the free end of the shaft 11 and the bushing 12 are pressed against the ceiling. <IMAGE>
