PURPOSE:To produce an inexpensive and high efficient beta aluminum fiber, by spinning fibers from a viscous sol obtained from a solution chiefly composed of aluminum nitrate and sodium nitrate and crystallizing it with heat. CONSTITUTION:A solution including specified volume of 100 parts of aluminum nitrate, 2-60 parts of aluminum powder and 2-70 parts of sodium nitrate in weight respectively is heated to produce a viscous sol. Next, fibers are spinned from this viscous sol and the fibers are crystallized with heat to obtain beta aluminum fiber. |
