The device is used to restrict forces of a dynamic nature in an oscillating system. This reduction is achieved by making use of the non-linearity of the mechanical properties of the component which brings about the conversion of part of the kinetic energy contained in it and its transfer outside the system. The elastic/plastic device placed on a bridge support comprises three steel plates located between two stainless steel/PTFE sliding surfaces which can slide following flexion and plasticization of the brackets.
