A plastics shell (10) has external texture for camouflage and promoting growth of algae etc. Its mouth engages over the peripheral wall (26) of a baseplate (12) which is adaptable (64) to mounting to a flat wall or tree trunk. The shell (10) has separately removable upper (14) and lower (16) parts. The components (14, 16, 12) may have engagement strips of hook-and-loop fabric (40). The interior is well ventilated, by non-airtight engagement of shell and baseplate, and by ventilation formations in the baseplate (12). Thus a peripheral channel has its mouth open to the rear, and an opening (65) in the upper region of the box interior. |
