An NC stamping machine has sheet or plate material moved on an x-y coordinate table while a punch tool operates vertically. Tools are carried on a rotary magazine which can be incremented to the required location. The machine has a built-in keyboard and screen. The control system is based upon a microprocessor with a CPU (21), a ROM (22) and a RAM (23). A card reader (33), a keyboard (31), a graphics adapter (25) and a servo controller (26) are connected to the system bus. The screenfacility allows the workpiece program to be checked by displaying the component form. USE/ADVANTAGE - Requires no special automatic programming equipment. Easy location of non-matching or unsuitable working step of n.c. program.
