In a heat or cold pump incorporating a fluid heat transport medium, changes in temp. and pressure affect the state of the fluid. The novelty is that the measuring float incorporated in the fluid monitoring view chamber changes in vol. in accordance with temp. and pressure. The float is filled with a substance whose vapour pressure is higher than that of the coolant. USE/ADVANTAGE - The float design makes it possible for observers to establish an adequately accurate measure of the quantity of coolant irrespective of changes in temp. and system pressure.
