PURPOSE:To re-execute an instruction execution procedure by re-executing an instruction on condition that a storage means does not display update when a hardware fault is detected during the execution of the instruction execution procedure. CONSTITUTION:When an instruction for updating the hardware area of a main storage device is executed during the processing of the instruction execution procedure, a flip-flop 2 holds 1 without being reset and when an instruction for updating a hardware register is executed, the flip-flop 2 holds 1 without being reset. If, however, an instruction for updating the software area of the main storage device is executed during the processing of the instruction execution procedure, the flip-flop 2 is reset to 0 and when an instruction for updating a general register is executed, the flip-flop 2 is reset to '0'. Consequently, the instruction execution procedure is re-executed from its head instruction in case of a hardware fault occurring before the software area or general register of the main storage device is updated even during the execution of the instruction execution procedure of the hardware area. |
