PURPOSE:To produce D-threonine aldolase by culturing a microbial cell transformed with a vector DNA, transduced with a DNA sequence carrying genetic informations participating in synthesis of D-threonine aldolase. CONSTITUTION:DNA sequence carrying genetic informations, which participates in synthesis of D-threonine aldolase, is transduced into a vector and a microbial cell is transformed with the vector. The transformed microbial cell is cultured in a medium and D-threonine aldolase is isolated from the cultured mixture. Glycine and an aldehyde compounds are treated with this D-threonine aldolase to produce D-beta-hydroxyamino acid. Escherichia coli, bacterium belonging to the genus Xanthomonas, bacterium belonging to the Acetobacter or bacterium belonging to the genus Pseudomonas may be cited as the concrete example of the microbial cell. |
