PURPOSE:To make a unit structurally compact as a whole and enable attaching it to a ceiling or the like in a simple manner by joining as an integral unit a body consisting of a heat- exchange chamber provided at an air inlet in the front with an air flow-controlling device capable of freely changing the flow of air and another body placed at the front of the other body and consisting of an air-intake chamber having air inlets in the front, in a side, in the top or in the bottom as befits the case. CONSTITUTION:Between the front part of a heat-exchange chamber B and an air-intake chamber A there are provided a partition 5 and air inlets 4 to the heat-exchange chamber B at the right and at the left. At the opening of each of the air inlets there is provided an air flow-controlling device 6 designed to be freely opened and closed or removed so as to function to control the amount of the air passing through the air inlet 4. The air flow- controlling device 6 consists of an ordinary damper mechanism is which a motor 12 moves a movable plate to the right or left or upward or downward in controlling the opening.
