PURPOSE:To obtain the title product composed of a composite continuous filament obtained by compositing core component of polyethylene terephthalate and sheath component consisting of a copolymer polyester having melting point lower than the core component. CONSTITUTION:The objective product obtained by compositing (A) core component consisting of polyethylene terephthalate having 1-15 denier single fiber fineness and (B) sheath component consisting of a copolymer polyester having melting point lower by >=10 deg.C than the component A so that a weight ratio of the component A/the component B may be 0.2/1-3/1 and partially hot-pressing the composite and having single fiber consisting of 1.5-20 denier composite continuous filament. Furthermore, a copolymer polyester consisting essentially of terephthalic acid, isophthalic acid and ethylene glycol and being 60/40-95/5 in molar ratio of copolymer of terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid is preferably used as the component B. |
