In the fuel management system having an electronic computer (36) for operating a metering valve (50) through which fuel is supplied to operate a turbine engine (10). A mechanical governor (116) responsive to the rotation of a turbine by the combustion of fuel supplied to chamber (16) allows a portion of the fuel supplied to the metering valve (50) to return to a pump supply (30) when the rotational speed of the shaft (20) connected to turbine (18) exceeds a preset valve. An error detection member (440) responds to a mismatch between the force output of a flyweight (130) and a speed feedback roller (408) to prevent the return of the entire quantity of fuel to the pump supply (28) and thereby assure a minimum quantity is always available to operate the turbine engine (10). |
