Monitoring of position elements has to date been carried out using acoustic or optical sensors, but this method alone has proved to be insufficient in the case of computer-controlled position elements, particularly for security devices. To obtain quicker, more reliable and principally automated monitoring in the case of computer- controlled position elements 12 both the output of the computer 10 and the position output of the position element are monitored. On the basis of the signal samples received, particular interference situations can be ascertained. Thereafter correction or indication of the interference situation can take place. <IMAGE> |
