PURPOSE:To facilitate recognition of a pallet to be exchanged by a method wherein, in a part feeding device to draw out a part placing pallet located in a stocker and feed parts, counting is effected each time a part is drawn out from the pallet, and when the number of countings attains a given value, the pallet is protruded. CONSTITUTION:When a pallet 6 is drawn in part feed operation the presence of an in-process mark 37C of an in-process mark providing part 41 mounted on a tray 2 is detected. When parts are not in an in-process state, the number of parts is set as a full tray to a pallet data memory, and when the mark 37C is present and a tray is in an in-process state, through detection of in- process marks 37A and 37B, the number of parts is calculated by the x row calculation and set to the pallet data memory. A CPU subtracts the number of the pallet data memories at each part taking-out operation. When the number of memories is reduced to zero, the number of remaining parts is decided to be 0, protruding operation of the pallet 6 is effected, and a need for exchange is reported. |
