The equipment avoids hindrance of heat-transfer by a layer of the medium, which adheres to the exchange surface. It comprises a heat-exchange tube (1) of material with good heat-conductivity and positively coupled to a drive mechanism (2). This rotates between fixed inner and outer tubes (3, 4) and in their inner and outer end pieces (5 - 8), and runs against scrapers (11) on the fixed tubes, breaking up and removing the layer. The media are delivered and discharged via the end pieces, and seals (9, 10) are provided between the fixed and rotating tubes. USE/ADVANTAGE - Cleaner improves heat-transfer in heat exchanges without increasing flow resistance.
