In a colour television system, the colour saturation of the colour component signals R, G, B is adjusted by multiplying each signal by the same factor K, which may be greater or less than unity, and subsequently adding to each a further signal which corresponds to the luninance signal Y (=0À30R+0À59G+0À11B) multiplied by a factor (1-K). The elements D 1 -D 4 , which are altenators in the system described, are ganged together and comprise a plurality of switchable resistors. |
