<p>PURPOSE: To provide a device with functions such as high density, high speed and self-threading and also to lower the height, by mounting stators and rotors of motors for two reels and ducts of a blower for tape driving directly on a main supporting base plate. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with the brushless DC motors for the supply reel 15 and take-up reel 17, and the stators 126, 144 of each motor are mounted at the outside of short pipes 124, 126 facing downward which are casted integrally with the main base plate 24, and bearings 136, 138, 150 are mounted at the inside, and also the permanent magnet rotors 128, 152 mounted on driving shafts 134, 148 by cuplike curved surface plates 130, 154 are combined close to the surroundings of the stators 126, 144. The ventilating ducts 74, 79, 82 are arranged on the upper/lower surfaces of the base plate 24, etc., for supplying the air so as to forward the end of tape to the take-up reel 17. Thus, the high density, high speed and low height are attained, and also the self-threading is stabilized.</p> |
