Vehicle security device

A security device (11) for use in immobilizing vehicles includes a link member (15) having a hook means (14) at one end for engagement with a vehicle's gear selector lever (12) and having lockable shackle means (16) at the other end for lockable engagement with the steering wheel (13) of the vehicle. The link member (15) and hook means (14) are connected by a screw thread to be adjustable in length so as to make the device suitable for use in a wide variety of models of vehicle.
