Drive for up-and-over doors

An up-and-over garage door is driven by a door-mounted, reversible electric motor via a winch 25 from which cable ends extend to springs and anchorages 57, 58 and 65, 66. The door latch has a hasp which is pivoted upwards via cable 64 to release the latch. One cable end may be secured to the garage roof (Fig. 7) or the cable ends may be secured together by a spring (Fig. 5).
