PURPOSE:To obtain the subject substance having improved machinability, precision, heat-conductivity and flexural strength by burning a mixture of Al, B4C and Dy2O3. CONSTITUTION:The objective free-cutting sintered AlN containing AlN as the main phase and B4C existing in the intergranular phase can be produced by mixing 96-70wt.% of AlN, 1-15wt.% of B4C, 3-15wt.% of Dy2O3 and, as necessary, 5-10wt.% of BC, forming the mixture and burning the formed product. |
