PURPOSE:To form good images by mixing a toner having the average grain size larger than the concn. of a fine powder toner having 1 to 5mum average grain size with a mixture composed of the fine powder toner and a carrier. CONSTITUTION:The toner having the average grain size larger than the concn. of the fine powder toner having 1 to 5mum average grain size is added and mixed to and with the mixture formed by mechanically mixing the above-mentioned fine powder toner and the carrier. The average grain size of the carrier is preferably 30 to 200mum. The fine powder toner sticks around the carrier and the grain layer of the fine powder toner is formed if the mixture is subjected to such treatment. Further, the toner of the large grain size sticks around this grain layer. The resulted developer for starting has good flowability and large bulk density and is lowered in the electrostatic charge quantity of the toner. The carrier is uncoated carries such as oxidized or unoxidized powder and ferrite, or coated carriers consisting of magnetic materials, such as Fe, Ni, Co, and Ferrite and acrylic polymers, etc. |
