<p>PURPOSE:To obtain shafts differing in deflection in forward and reverse directions, largely reduced in a side run-out with bore and being light, hard to bend and strong by providing arbitrary places of a middle member with grooves in arbitrary shapes at arbitrary spaces. CONSTITUTION:For example, the upper part of a tapered middle member 5 is provided with the arbitrary number of inclined grooves 6 at arbitrary spaces. Groove faces of the grooves 6 are in contact with each other when the middle member 5 is straight so that characteristics most similar to deflection characteristics at the time of providing no grooves are obtained relative to a load from the B-direction. Suitably, these grooves 6 are provided at a cylindrical bar shaped middle member including a hollow one. Thus, it is possible to obtain shafts differing in deflection and strength upward and downward.</p> |
