Cables or other elongated elements are firmly and neatly secured to larger host bodies, such as pipes or tanks, by means of straps that extend around the host bodies. Each strap has at least one clip, and preferably more than one clip arranged along the strap. Each clip is made of a resilient material and has one end secured to the strap, a central, arched portion for embracing and retaining a cable or other element, and a free end including an outwardly projecting tab that can be manually raised to release the cable.
