PURPOSE:To enable ice water to be always taken out while keeping a suitable IPF value by a method wherein a water level difference between a measuring chamber not containing ice and a mixing tank is measured, a supplying amount of ice and water from an ice storing tank to the mixing tank is adjusted so as to adjust a charging rate of ice within the mixing tank. CONSTITUTION:A measuring chamber 3 is arranged between a front wall 19 and a partition wall 7 and communicated with the mixing tank at a lower bottom part of the mixing tank 2 through a communication port 9. Ice and water are present within the mixing tank 2 while being mixed to each other, and only water flows into the measuring chamber 3 due to their specific weights. Resulting in that a water level difference DELTAh is generated between a water surface 22 of the mixing tank 2 and a water surface 21 of the measuring chamber 3 due to a density difference between ice water and water. Thus, a value of DELTAh is measured at the measuring chamber 3, IPF within the mixing tank 2 is measured and a rate of ice and water is adjusted within the mixing tank 2 in such a way as IPF becomes a predetermined value suitable for a transporting of ice and water. With such an arrangement, a state of ice and water suitable for transportation is always formed within the mixing tank. |
