PURPOSE:To manufacture acceleratedly cooled material excellent in shape and flatness by elevating the upper leveler rolls of a 1st roller leveler during reverse rolling of rolled stock and introducing the rolled stock directly after the rolling is over into the 1st roller leveler to perform leveling. CONSTITUTION:The 1st roller leveler 2 capable of moving the upper leveler rolls 21 vertically is arranged on the outlet side of a reverse rolling mill 1, a cooling device 3 is provided directly near the outlet side of the 1st roller leveler 2 and a 2nd roller leveler 4 is provided with a specified interval S on the outlet side of the cooling device 3. The upper leveler rolls 21 of the 1st roller leveler 2 are elevated during reverse rolling of the rolled stock 5. The rolled stock 5 directly after reverse rolling is over is introduced into the 1st roller leveler 21 to perform leveling. The rolled stock 5 after leveling is over is introduced into the cooling device 3 to perform accelerated cooling. The rolled stock 5 recuperated after accelerated cooling is introduced into the 2nd roller leveler 4 to perform leveling. Consequently, uniform cooling can be performed in a flat state and high-strength, high-toughness steel can be manufactured. |
