A multifunctional key-operated switch for a stimulation current generator for balneotherapy co-operates with a lid (3) over the program-board (2) of the stimulation current generator to ensure that after the generator is switched on and the intensity increases, no changes are made in the switch position which, in extreme cases, could lead to disturbances in the cardiac rhythm of a patient undergoing balneotherapy. In addition, the multifunctional key-operated switch affords improved protection against incorrect operation and misuse of a stimulation current generator for balneotherapy and prevents unauthorized access to the generator, while allowing the generator to be switched off immediately in an emergency. To this end, the multifunctional key-operated switch has switching elements such as lockable buttons for switching on, controlling the intensity, coding, EMERGENCY POWER-OFF, locking, resetting and holding in a single switch which can be operated easily and rapidly. In addition, grouping several functions minimizes the risk of incorrect operation, because it makes some switching functions dependent of each other in a simple, mostly mechanical and reliable manner. |
