<p>PURPOSE:To make the wire drawing speed of a cable changeable according to the wire drawing conditions and loads of different kinds of cables by forming a wire drawing roller into a cone and enabling a cable supporter to move. CONSTITUTION:A cable 14 is held close between wire drawing rollers 2, 2 and the underside of the cable 14 is supported by a cable supporter 4. The cable 14 is sent out in the axial direction thereof by rotating the wire drawing rollers 2, 2 with the respective motors 6 thereof in the mutually inverse rotary directions. In order to lower the sending out speed of the cable 14, the cable supporter 4 is moved downward. In that case, the position at which the cable 14 contacts with the wire drawing roller 2 is moved downward. Since the outer peripheral surface of the wire drawing roller 2 forms a part of the surface of a cone, if the contact position is lowered, the peripheral speed of the contact position becomes low. Thereby, the sending out speed of the cable 14 is lowered. In order to increase the sending out speed of the cable 14, the supporter 4 is moved upward.</p> |
