PURPOSE:To obtain the title grease improved in touch by mixing an alpha-olefin polymer oil, a lithium salt of a higher fatty acid, 2,6-di-t-butyl-4-methylphenol, a high viscosity ethylene/alpha-olefin polymer, and a polybutene. CONSTITUTION:60-90 pts.wt. alpha-olefin polymer oil of formula I (wherein R is CnH2n+1; (n) is an integer) is mixed with 5-10 pts.wt. lithium salt of a higher fatty acid (e.g. lithium stearate), 0.5-3 pts.wt. 2,6-di-t-butyl-4-methylphenol, 0.5-7 pts.wt. high viscosity ethylene/alpha-olefin polymer of formula II (wherein R is a saturated hydrocarbon group CnH2n+1; (x), (y), (p), and (n) are each an integer), and 0.5-7 pts.wt. polybutene of formula III having an average molecular weight of about 1,350 to 2,700 so as to provide a total of 100 pts.wt. |
