<p>In the process of the invention, the commutator (1) is first set in rotational motion about its longitudinal axis (3). Its surface is then machined with an abrasive body in the form of a cup wheel (5) rotating about an axis (7) which makes an angle of preferably 5° to 10° with the longitudinal axis (3) of the commutator (1). At the same time, the abrasive body and/or commutator is made to execute a translational motion perpendicular to the axis of rotation (3) of the commutator (1), and the abrasive body and/or the commutator is moved parallel to axis 3 in order to advance one relative to the other.</p> |
