Producing hollow injection moulded plastic mouldings, which have thin and thick regions, includes injecting a pre-determined amt. of plastic melt material into a mould, and applying a pressurised gas to the melt. In order to mould the melt correctly, the mould section is varied in the regions where the thick cross-section points occur.
