LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION.

A lubricating oil composition comprising a fluoroalkyl alcohol represented by the general formula Rf-R<1>-OH, and a polyether compound. In the formula, R<1> represents a C2 to C15 alkylene group and Rf represents a C5 to C16 fluoroalkyl group, provided that the total number of fluorine atoms in Rf is at least 2n-3 (where n is the total number of carbon atoms in Rf) and each carbon atom of Rf has at least one fluorine atom bonded thereto. This composition is excellent in the prevention of seizure and in the solubility in a refrigerant at high temperatures.
