SHARED MEMORY AND EMULATOR PROVIDED WITH SAME MEMORY

PURPOSE:To perform an accurate access to a memory from a processor connected to another port by completing the read/write operations in response to a request in a period shorter than an access request period and allocating the extra time produced from the reduction of time to the access actions requested from other ports. CONSTITUTION:A shared memory 30 is provided with a control part 22, and the part 22 completes the process of an access request given from a master via a 1st port 31 in a period shorter than the access request period. Then the extra time produced from the reduction of time is allocated to the access action requested by a 2nd port 32. Thus a slave can have an accurate access to a memory even when the action frequency of the master is increased and the memory access cycle is shortened. In addition, an emulator provided with the memory 30 as an emulation memory can perform accurately the software debug where a microprocessor working at a high speed is used as an evaluation chip.
