PURPOSE:To reduce space between the turns of wound embossing tape and prevent reverse winding thereof by a method wherein a reel is provided with a groove part into which the beginning part of the embossing tape is inserted, the width of the groove part is made greater than the height of the tape recess and one side of a groove exit is provided with a stepped part suffuciently high to permit the first turn of a part of the embossing tape. CONSTITUTION:A beginning part 11a of embossing tape 11 is inserted into a groove part 17 of a reel 15 and the embossing tape 11 is wound with a part 11b of its first turn extending along a stepped part 18 from the exit of the groove part 17, successively rolled up into form of a roll. Since the width of the groove part 17 is greater than the height of the recess part 12 of the embossing tape 11, the beginning part 11a can be inserted smoothly into the groove part. The reel 15 is provided at one side of the exit of the groove part 17 with a stepped part 18 sufficiently high to permit the first turn of the part 11b from the beginning part 11a. For this reason, the second and subsequent turns of the embossing tape 11 are made nearly circular, thereby leaving little space between each turn of the embossing tape 11 and preventing reverse winding thereof. |
