PREPARATION OF PROTEIN-RICH SUBSTANCE, FIBROUS SUBSTANCE AND/OR VEGETABLE OIL FROM BEER CAKE

PURPOSE:To obtain a protein-rich substance and a fibrous substance suitable as a feed of domestic animals or cultured fishes by subjecting a wet beer cake to a pressure-pulverizing treatment, sieving treatment in the presence of water and separation to a protein-containing fraction and a fibrous substance fraction. CONSTITUTION:A wet beer cake is subjected to a pressure-pulverizing treatment and a resultant pressure-pulverized material is separated to a protein-containing fraction and a fibrous substance fraction, preferably with a sieving treatment of the protein-containing fraction to a fine particle-like protein-containing fraction and a crude particle-like protein in the presence of water to afford a protein-rich substance and/or a fibrous substance.
