PURPOSE:To improve the yield of products by a structure, in which a polygon mirror is contacted locally with a rotor supporting member supporting the polygon mirror. CONSTITUTION:The boss section 16a of a rotor supporting member 16 is attached to the hole of a polygon mirror 14 through shrinkage fitting while an annular projection 16b is provided on the upper surface of the rotor supporting member 16. A recessed section 24 is formed between the boss section 16a of the rotor supporting member 16 and the annular projection 16b at the outer periphery of the member 16 and, accordingly, the rotor supporting member 16 is contacted with the lower surface of the polygon mirror 14 through the narrow annular projection 16b only whereby a chance, in which a polygon mirror motor is assembled under a condition that dust is bitten between the rotor supporting member 16 and the polygon mirror, may be very rare and, therefore, a chance, in which the tilting of the surface of the polygon mirror 14 is generated, may be rare. According to this method, the yield of products can be improved. |
