DEVICE FOR DETECTING PENETRATION OF WORKED HOLE FOR LASER BEAM WORKING

PURPOSE:To exactly judge the boring of a hole in a work piece by reflecting the laser beam from a laser generator to a dichroic mirror to irradiate the work piece with this laser, transmitting the reflected laser beam through a dichroic mirror and detecting the light intensity with a photodetector. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam from the laser generator 2 is reflected by the dichroic mirror 4 in a body 1 by opening a shutter 9 and the work piece 3 is irradiated with this laser, by which the work piece 3 is bored with a hole. The laser beam partly transmits the dichroic mirror 4 at the time when the beam is reflected by the dichroic mirror 4. The light intensity of this beam is detected by the photodetector 6. On the other hand, the laser beam projected to the work piece 3 is reflected to the incident direction. The reflected laser beam transmits the dichroic mirror 4 and transmits the half mirror 10. The light intensity thereof is detected by the photodetector 7. The light intensities of the photodetectors 6, 7 are sent to a CPU 8 which judges the penetration of the worked hole when the detected light intensity of the photodetector 7 falls below the light detected intensity of the photodetector 7.
