PURPOSE:To improve the characteristics near rating by winding excitation windings in the position delayed in a specific range with respect to the voltage waveform induced in the power generating windings of a power generator for welding and making the field system wound with the windings non-salient. CONSTITUTION:Main power generation windings 6U1-6U3 and 6V1-6V3 which are shifted of phase by each 60 deg. electrical angle from each other are wound on a stator 5 of a power generator for welding, and the voltages induced in the respective windings 6 are subjected to six-phase half wave rectification by a diode 8-13 to apply DC voltage to a weld zone 14. Excitation windings 7 for self- excitation are wound on the stator 5, and the windings 7 are wound in the positions delayed in the range smaller than 90 deg. electrical angle and >=30 deg. with respect to the voltages induced in the windings 6U1-6U3 and 6V1-6V3. A revolving field system 3 is the constitution of non-cylindrical non-salient type, and generates the magnetic flux of the polarities indicated by the N and S in the figure. |
