HEAT FIXING METHOD AND TONER FOR HEAT FIXING

PURPOSE:To extremely shorten waiting time by using a polymer consisting of specific alpha,beta-unsatd. ethylenic monomers as a main binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin of the toner contains the polymer formed from the alpha,beta-unsatd. ethylenic monomers having at least one max. value in the respective mol. wt. regions of 10<3> to 8X10<4> mol. wt. and 10<5> to 10<7> mol. wt. of the chromatograms measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). Release components are an arom. vinyl monomer having the melt viscosity at 160 deg.C ranging 1 to 250cps and polyolefin grant-modified by unsatd. aliphat. acid or unsatd. aliphat. acid ester. The toner contains such components at 0.1 to 20wt.% by the total weight of the binder. The sensible images of the toner are heat-fixed to a recording material by a heating body which is fixed and supported and a pressurizing member which is in pressurized contact with the heating body in opposite thereto and brings the recording medium into tight contact with the heating body via a film. The waiting tie is shortened in this way and the electric power consumption is reduced.
