<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the water resistance and color developability of printed matter formed by an ink jet system by forming an image protecting member by providing a layer based on a polyester resin being a copolymer on a light pervious non-porous support. CONSTITUTION:An image protecting member is formed by providing a layer based on a polyester resin on a light pervious non-porous support. This polyester resin is a copolymer constituted of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid unit, an aromatic dicarboxylic acid unit and an aliphatic polyol unit and one showing physical properties such that an m.p. (softening point) is 50-130 deg.C and a glass transition point is -30-40 deg.C is proper from the viewpoint of the simplicity of thermal press bonding (low thermal press bonding temp.) or the compatibility with the coating layer of a material to be recorded. The recording solution used in the formation of printed matter protected by the image protecting member contains a colorant, water, a hydrophilic org. solvent and, if necessary, a dispersant and, as the colorant, a general pigment system is suitable from the aspect of light fastness.</p> |
