In a combustion turbine-generator temperatures are prevented from exceeding a predetermined limit by regulating its fuel supply so that a multidimensional data base having at least three variables including compressor inlet air temperature, compressor inlet guide vanes' position, and generator load limit is generated and stored in a digital computer; the compressor inlet air temperature and the compressor inlet guide vanes' position are monitored signals indicative of the compressor inlet air temperature and the compressor inlet guide vanes' position are sensed and periodically a unique data point based on the multidimensional data representation corresponds to the monitored compressor inlet air temperature, the monitored compressor inlet guide vanes' position, and a given generator load limit is determined, and a control signal is supplied by the digital computer to the combustion turbine for preventing the combustion turbine from exceeding the predetermined limit during operations of the combustion turbine. |
