PURPOSE:To surely detect a rotating position, a rotating angle, and number of revolutions, by providing a specific signal source to a plurality of equally divided circumference of a rotating body and outputting a signal corresponding to each signal source only at a designated position. CONSTITUTION:On a concentric circles having four different diameters with a discoidal rotating body 1, 1, 2, 4 and 8 slits 2 are arranged from the inner to the outer circumference and the rotating body 1 is equally divided into 16 segments to form 16 addresses. At the outermost circumference of the rotating body 1, to output a signal corresponding to each signal source (address) only at the designated position, 16 slits 2a are formed at each part of the 16 sectors the rotating body 1. At the same time when the rotation of the body 1 starts, the slits 2a at the outermost circumference are caught by a photoelectric tube 4 and a signal corresponding to each slit can be picked up from the tube 4. Thus, the number of revolutions of the rotating body, a rotation angle, and a rotating position can easily be discriminated by reading the address of a code 5. |
