PURPOSE:To economically prepare the title foam useful as a noncombustible material, insulating material, etc., used in building, excellent in the heat resistance, and low in the amts. of heat buildup, toxic gas generation, and deformation in burning by compounding a vinyl chloride resin with a specified amt. of a metal hydroxide. CONSTITUTION:The title foam comprises a resin compsn. comprising 100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin pref. having an average degree of polymn. of 1500-5000 and 900 pts.wt. or higher metal hydroxide pref. aluminum hydroxide. |
