Drive mechanism for power-actuated swing door - is enclosed in rotatable housing with sealed cover and with overload safety device

A swinging door is opened and closed by means of an electric motor installed in a housing (2) below floor level. The door is attached by lugs (5) to a rotatable housing (4). This housing is driven by a shaft (14) which has its upper end supported in a bearing (15). The bearing (15) is mounted on a bracket (9) which is attached to the drive housing (8). The bearing is thus enclosed in the rotatable housing which is sealed with a cover. The actuating mechanism is provided with an overload safety device (16). In an alternative design the bearing may project above the rotatable housing which is then fitted with a different type of cover. USE - Power actuated swing doors.
